Cakes D’ Sabores began in 2008 when a home-based cake hobby blossomed through church and community word-of-mouth. After years of steady demand, the family opened a commercial shop in 2017—and added a second location last year. Rooted in Hispanic heritage and known for “bring-anything-we’ll-make-it” custom work (yachts, Ferrari's, handbags, safes and more), the bakery serves weddings (preferred vendor at ~25 venues), birthdays, everyday café guests, and an emerging wholesale/CPG audience with their crowd-favorite cake sticks.

Success outgrew old systems. Custom orders lived on loose-leaf forms that could be misplaced, with no searchable customer history. eCommerce sat on a separate WooCommerce site—every price or flavor change required a developer and kept data split from the POS. On top of that, multiple tools handled time clock, reporting, production, and payments—hard to manage across two locations and easy to slow down growth.

Cakes D’ Sabores moved to BakeSmart as the single system for retail, online, and custom orders. The Cake Matrix captures complex designs and pricing in one place, and eCommerce is integrated—so updates happen once. Invoicing and payment status live inside the order, while production planning, reporting, and (as they grow) wholesale tools run from the same hub.
