Our Origin Story
20 years ago, a group of bakers walked into a software development shop. Having experienced the pains of managing custom cake orders, the bakers knew software could help. But they found no existing solution on the market that met their specific needs.
After several months of brainstorming and discussions, a product emerged -- the original BakeSmart. Built collaboratively, with bakers and for bakers, BakeSmart became the premier software solution for small to mid size bakeries.
Who We Are Today
Ray Clements, the original software developer of BakeSmart, has passed the company's leadership to his son Mike, who now oversees the business's operations and continued development.
Mike, Christine, Jerred, Shellie, and Megan are the team who power BakeSmart. They answer your phone calls, they write the emails, and they listen to your needs to make sure BakeSmart helps you run and manage your bakery with ease.
